Este martes por la mañana se anunció la lista de los nominados a los Premios Tony 2019 en la cual sobresale Hadestown por sus 14 nominaciones. Este musical es una adaptación del álbum conceptual de ópera popular que lanzó Anaïs Mitchell en 2010, que cuenta la versión del antiguo mito griego de Orfeo y Euridice, donde Orfeo viaja al inframundo para rescatar a su novia Eurídice. A Hadestown le sigue The Ferryman con 9 nominaciones, luego Beetlejuice el musical con 8 nominaciones.

Gayle Kind, Brandon Victor Dixon y Bebe Neuwirth dieron a conocer a los nominados,entre las producciones destacan también las obras Ain´t Too Proud, The Life and Times of the Temptations, The Prom como mejor obra musical y Choir Boy, Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, Ink, What the Constitution Means to Me en la categoría mejor obra.
El actor Bryan Cranston también está nominado a Mejor actor en una obra por Network, mientras que Anette Bening y Laurie Metcalf se disputan el Premio a Mejor actriz en una obra por Arthur Millers´s All My Sons y Hilllary and Clinton, respectivamente.
